Je mehr Menschen am ADFC-Fahrradklima-Test 2024 teilnehmen, desto aussagekräftiger sind die Ergebnisse.
Wichtig für die Arbeit von ADFC Freising und VCD Freising-Erding-Dachau: nur wenn aus einer Gemeinde mehr als 50 Personen am Fahrradklimatest teilnehmen, werden die Ergebnisse auch veröffentlicht und können für unsere verkehrspolitische Arbeit verwendet werden:
Hintergrund zum Fahrradklimatest 2024: Der ADFC Fahrradklima-Test läuft vom 1. September bis 30. November 2024.. Das Beantworten der 27 Fragen auf www.fkt.adfc.de dauert nur etwa zehn Minuten. Wer mag, kann sich im Anschluss für einen Newsletter anmelden, um über die Ergebnisse informiert zu werden. Die fahrradfreundlichsten Städte und Gemeinden in sechs Größenklassen werden im Frühjahr 2025 im Bundesverkehrsministerium in Berlin ausgezeichnet.
Der ADFC führt den Test alle zwei Jahre durch – in diesem Jahr zum elften Mal. Der ADFC-Fahrradklima-Test ist eine der wichtigsten und aussagekräftigsten Erhebung zur Entwicklung der Situation des Fahrradverkehrs in Deutschland.

GEMEINSAME PRESSEMITTEILUNG von Radentscheid Freising, ADFC Freising und VCD Freising-Erding-Dachau
Wertvoller Platz in unseren Innenstädten wird durch die Verwendung für das Abstellen von Kraftfahrzeugen anderen Nutzungen entzogen. Der internationale Park(ing) Day will aufzeigen, welcher Gewinn an Aufenthaltsqualität damit verbunden ist, wenn Parkflächen temporär als Aufenthaltsräume für Menschen gewidmet werden. Die Initiativgruppe “Park(ing) Day Freising” veranstaltet in diesem Sinn am Freitag, 20. September 2024 zum zweiten Mal den Park(ing) Day – dieses Mal in der Wippenhauser Straße.
Da, wo üblicherweise Autos parken, erwartet die Besucher:innen beim 2. Freisinger Park(ing) Day ein entspanntes Ambiente mit kleinen Tischen und Hockern, auf denen man Kaffee trinken, Musik hören und lesen kann. Aber auch spielen sowie kreativ werden und ein T-Shirt selbst bedrucken oder Seedbombs formen ist möglich. Damit können die Besucher:innen unmittelbar erfahren, wie schön es sein kann, wenn der Traum wahr wird, dass knapper öffentlicher Raum für den Aufenthalt von Menschen genutzt wird – Lebensfreude statt Blechlawine.
Fanny Wirth aus dem Kreis der Organisator:innen führt aus: “Auch vor dem Hintergrund der Klimakrise ist es wichtig, dass in den Innenstädten mehr grüne Oasen geschaffen werden. Dies kann auch durch die Umwidmung von bisherigen Parkflächen im öffentlichen Raum geschehen. Durch die kühlende Wirkung von Bäumen sind dann, insbesondere an heißen Sommertagen, Ruhebereiche gegen den Hitzestress vorhanden“. Jürgen Maguhn vom VCD Freising fügt hinzu: “Weniger Autos am Straßenrand im öffentlichen Raum – für die ja in Parkgaragen und Großparkplätzen in Freising noch genügend Kapazitäten vorhanden sind – tragen auch dazu bei, dass sich die Menschen den Platz zurückerobern und ihre Stadt als lebenswerter empfinden“.
Der Park(ing) Day Freising wird vom VCD, ADFC, BUND Naturschutz, der Initiative Critical Mass und Fridays for Future Freising unterstützt.
Die Veranstalter rufen alle Freisinger:innen – insbesondere auch Eltern mit Kindern – dazu auf, am Freitag, den 20. September 2024 zwischen 13 und 20 Uhr an der Wippenhauser Straße (zwischen Karlwirtkreuzung und AOK) vorbei zu kommen um den möglichen Gewinn an Aufenthalts- und Lebensqualität zu erfahren.
Über den Internationalen Park(ing) Day
Der Park(ing) Day ist ein seit 2005 international zumeist in Innenstädten begangener Aktionstag. Er findet in der Regel am dritten Freitag im September statt. Dabei werden Parkplätze im öffentlichen Straßenraum modellhaft kurzfristig umgewidmet und einer anderen Nutzung zugeführt, etwa als grüne Oase bzw. Pflanzinsel oder als Spiel- und Ausruhfläche.
Damit soll anschaulich gezeigt werden, welcher Gewinn an Aufenthalts- und auch Lebensqualität damit verbunden ist, wenn aktuell für den ruhenden motorisierten Individualverkehr gewidmete Flächen für das Leben der Menschen in der Stadt genutzt würden.
Freising hat sich auf den Weg gemacht, eine fahrradfreundliche Stadt zu werden. Neben einer angemessenen Fahrradinfrastruktur gehört dazu auch gegenseitiger Respekt und wechselseitige Achtsamkeit aller am Verkehr Teilnehmenden. Der Radentscheid Freising ruft in diesem Sinn zu einer Radldemo am Samstag, den 21. September 2024 auf.
Unterstützt von VCD, ADFC, BUND Naturschutz, Fridays for Future und der Agenda-Gruppe Bauen, Wohnen und Verkehr soll bei der Radldemo ein Zeichen gesetzt werden, dass zwar schon einiges erreicht worden ist auf dem Weg zu einer fahrradfreundlichen Kommune, gleichzeitig aber noch ein längerer Weg bis dahin zurückzulegen ist.
Selbstverständlich gehört zur Fahrradfreundlichkeit ein entsprechendes Angebot für Radfahrende. Hier sind seit dem zwischen dem Radentscheid und der Stadt Freising 2022 geschlossenen Vertrag bereits einige konkrete Maßnahmen umgesetzt worden. Diese werden vom Radentscheid und den unterstützenden Organisationen begrüßt. In der weiteren Laufzeit des Vertrags bis 2027 stehen aber noch einige “dicke Bretter” – auch mit größeren Investitionen in die Fahrradinfrastruktur – an. Angemessene und fehlerverzeihende Radwege sind eine wichtige Voraussetzung für sicheres Radfahren.
Emilia Kirner, eine der Sprecher:innen des Radentscheid Freising erläutert: “Ausreichend breite eigenständige und durchgängige Fahrradwege entflechten den Fußgänger- und den Fahrradverkehr. Viele Konflikte zwischen Radfahrer:innen und Fußgänger:innen resultieren auch aus der Tatsache, dass beide Gruppen in den letzten Jahrzehnten zusammen auf “Restflächen” verwiesen worden sind und damit Konflikte vorprogrammiert sind.
Hans Pemp, Vorsitzender des ADFC-Kreisverbandes Freising ergänzt: “Gleichzeitig gibt es aber auch – wenn auch relativ wenige – Radfahrende, die bei gemeinsamer Nutzung von Wegen mit zu Fuß Gehenden nicht die gebotene Achtsamkeit und Vorsicht walten lassen. Unsere Radldemo soll ein Zeichen dafür setzen, dass alle am Verkehr Teilnehmenden auf die jeweils Schwächeren Rücksicht nehmen“.
Jürgen Maguhn vom VCD Freising fügt hinzu: “Dieses gilt insbesondere auch für Autofahrer:innen gegenüber den schwächeren nichtmotorisierten Verkehrsteilnehmer:innen, die nicht durch massives Blech geschützt sind. Auch diese sollen durch die Radldemo darauf aufmerksam gemacht werden, dass gegenseitige Rücksichtnahme und Toleranz eine wichtige Voraussetzung für ein sicheres Miteinander ist“.
Das Motto “Miteinander – aber sicher!” unterstreicht dementsprechend, dass für Verkehrssicherheit einerseits angemessene Verkehrsflächen für alle Verkehrsteilnehmer:innen notwendig sind. Über die konkreten baulichen Gegebenheiten hinaus sind es aber eben auch die Verkehrsteilnehmer:innen selbst, die durch ihr Verhalten in erheblichem Maß zu einem sicheren Miteinander beitragen können.
Die Demonstration startet am Samstag, den 21. September 2024 um 14 Uhr mit einer Kundgebung in der Erdinger Straße (bei der St. Lantpert-Kirche, Grüner Hof). Dabei werden auch Vertreter:innen der im Stadtrat vertretenen Fraktionen zu Wort kommen.
Im Anschluss bewegt sich der Radl-Demonstrationszug entlang der Erdinger Straße Richtung Gute Änger, vorbei an den dortigen Schulen. Über den Südring geht es weiter zur Katharina-Mair-Straße, die Jagdstraße und die Kulturstraße zurück zum Ausgangspunkt in der Erdinger Straße.
Die Veranstalter rufen alle Bürger:innen Freisings dazu auf, sich an der Radldemo zu beteiligen und damit ihre Unterstützung für ein sicheres Miteinanders im Verkehr zu bekunden.
Über den Radentscheid Freising Der Radentscheid Freising hatte zum Ziel, dass die Qualität der Radwege, insbesondere auch die Gestaltung von Kreuzungen und Einmündungen verbessert wird, ein durchgängiges und leistungsfähiges Radvorrangnetz sowie Radschnellwege für den Pendlerverkehr in die Nachbargemeinden entstehen und Fahrradabstellmöglichkeiten ausgebaut werden. Nach der Sammlung von knapp 5.000 Unterstützerunterschriften in 2020 und 2021 wurde 2022 ein Vertrag mit der Stadt Freising geschlossen, in dem in den 5 Jahren bis 2027 eine Vielzahl von Maßnahmen umgesetzt bzw. deren Planung vorangetrieben werden sollen.
Einige Verbesserungen, aber noch einiges an “Luft nach oben”.
Der VCD Freising-Erding-Dachau hat ihn seit Jahren gefordert. Im Oktober 2021 wurde die Schnellbuslinie X660 Garching-Freising-Weihenstephan zur Verbindung der beiden Hochschulstandorte und als Anbindung der Stadt Freising an die U6 in Garching endlich eingerichtet.
Inzwischen ist aufgrund der guten Nachfrage das Angebot bereits mehrfach erweitert worden … und läuft und läuft und läuft.
Auch der teils bereits eingerichtete 20-Minuten-Takt im Berufsverkehr wird sehr gut angenommen – es sollte der 20-Minuten-Takt unbedingt erweitert werden!
Die Linie 635 Freising-Flughafen hat seit Dezember 2023 jetzt einen 10-Minuten-Takt (zuvor 20-Minuten-Takt).
Die Linie 683 Hörgertshausen-Mauern-Moosburg hat frühmorgens eine halbstündliche Anbindung nach Moosburg und ist mit einer Fahrzeit von lediglich 7 Minuten von Mauern-Mitterfeld nach Moosburg praktisch unschlagbar.
Was nützt jedoch diese Super-Verbindung, wenn nachmittags und abends große Lücken bestehen? Der VCD drängt hier auf zusätzliche Fahrten; ebenso sollte anstelle der samstags bisher nur 2 Fahrten je Richtung künftig ein 2-Stunden-Takt eingerichtet werden.
Anlässlich der Jahreshauptversammlung des VCD-Kreisverbandes – Verkehrsclub Deutschland – im Freisinger “Haus der Vereine” gab es einen Vortrag “Kerosin muss endlich entschwefelt werden!” Prof. Oswald Rottmann vom Bürgerverein Freising zeigte dabei die enorme Schadstoffbelastung durch den Flughafen auf. Insbesondere Ultrafeinstaub (UFP) stellt ein erhebliches gesundheitliches Risiko dar.
Die Turbinen der Flugzeuge erzeugen enorme Mengen von Ultrafeinstaub. Der Bürgerverein Freising hat hierzu mehrfach Messungen am und um den Flughafen München durchgeführt und wissenschaftlich ausgewertet. Am Flughafen selbst beträgt die Konzentration der UFP bei Flugbetrieb im Tagesmittelwert über 70.000 Partikel pro Kubikzentimeter. Das ist 7 mal höher als die von der WHO genannte hohe Konzentration. Dieser Belastung sind alle Beschäftigte, Besucher und vor allem Kinder ausgesetzt. Aber auch noch in fast 20 km Entfernung vom Flughafen wurden hohe Belastungen gemessen. Ultrafeinstaub-Partikel können wegen der geringen Größe über die Lunge in Körperzellen eindringen. Dadurch steigt das Krankheitsrisiko enorm. Eine kürzlich erschienene Untersuchung in Los Angeles nennt einen Anstieg von 12% für ein Gehirntumor-Risiko.
“Rottmann: “Wir haben auch die Schadstoffbelastung neben der Kindertagesstätte Airport Hopser gemessen stark erhöhte UFP-Konzentrationen festgestellt, was der Gesundheit der Kinder sicherlich nicht förderlich ist“. Eine deutliche Reduzierung der Schadstoffe wäre möglich, wenn Kerosin entschwefelt werden würde. “Bei Benzin und Diesel ist eine Entschwefelung seit etlichen Jahren gängige Praxis, nur bei Kerosin nicht“, stellt Rottmann fest. Neben gesundheitlichen Aspekten würden bei einer Entschwefelung auch Kondensstreifen reduziert werden, welche zum Treibhauseffekt erheblich beitragen. Also ein wirksamer Beitrag zum Klimaschutz – im Gegensatz zu SAF (sustainable aviation fuel).
Derzeit wird SAF vielfach propagiert als “die” Lösung für klimaverträgliches Fliegen. “Bei genauem Hinsehen muss man aber leider feststellen, diese Erwartungen werden nicht ernsvertrag der Bundesregierung ist eine Reduzierung des Schwefelgehaltes bei Kerosin bereits beabsichtigt. Es gilt nun, aus dieser Absichtserklärung den Worten auch Taten folgen zu lassen und noch in dieser Legislaturperiode eine Entschwefelung von Kerosin auf den Weg zu bringen”.
Alfred Schreiber, VCD-Kreisvorsitzender und gleichzeitig aktiv im bundesweiten VCD-Arbeitskreis Flugverkehr sowie Mitglied im Beratenden Ausschuss nach §32a Luftverkehrsgesetz: “Kerosin muss endlich entschwefelt werden!“.
Auf der anschließenden Jahreshauptversammlung berichtete VCD-Kreisvorsitzender Alfred Schreiber über die zahlreichen Aktivitäten des vergangenen Jahres. So auch über die 3. Startbahn, die leider immer noch nicht endgültig vom Tisch ist, über Radverkehr in Freising und ÖPNV-Ausbau. Als Positivbeispiel nannte er den Dachauer Stadtbus, der sehr erfolgreich auf 4 Linien im 10-Minuten-Takt verkehrt.

“Kerosin muss endlich entschwefelt werden!“
Der Vortrag findet statt um 20 Uhr im “Haus der Vereine” (Erdgeschoss, Raum der Begegnung”), Major-Braun-Weg 12 in Freising.
Anschließend findet nach diesem Vortrag die jährliche Jahreshauptversammlung des VCD-Kreisverbandes statt.
Prof. Oswald Rottmann vom Bürgerverein Freising zeigt auf, welche Schadstoffbelastung durch den Flughafen für die Menschen in unmittelbarer Umgebung gegeben ist. Insbesondere Ultrafeinstaub stellt dabei ein erhebliches gesundheitliches Risiko dar. Der Bürgerverein Freising hat hierzu mehrfach Messungen gemacht. Eine Entschwefelung von Kerosin – bei Benzin und Diesel seit etlichen Jahren bereits gängige Praxis – würde die Schadstoffe deutlich reduzieren. Gleichzeitig könnte damit auch bei der Klimaerwärmung gegengesteuert werden. Zu diesem öffentlichen Vortrag sind auch Nichtmitglieder herzlich willkommen. ÖPNV statt Straßenbau – Nordumfahrung ED 99 stoppen!
Gemeinsame Pressemitteilung des “Bündnis für Klimaschutz und Flächensparen”
Klimaschädlich, naturzerstörend, unnötig und teuer – das “Bündnis für Klimaschutz und Flächensparen” lehnt den 100-Millionen-Bau der geplanten Nordumfahrung ED 99 bei Erding weiter ab und fordert stattdessen einen flächendeckenden Ausbau des Öffentlichen Nahverkehrs (ÖPNV) und des Rad- und Fußverkehrs. Mit einem begehbaren Zugbanner protestieren heute die Bündnispartner vor dem Landratsamt Erding, das zuständig ist für den ÖPNV im Landkreis.
Wolfgang Fritz, Initiator des Bündnisses und Vorstandsmitglied der BUND Naturschutz-Kreisgruppe Erding fragt sich: “Wie kann man in dieser Zeit noch an so einer Planung aus dem vergangenen Jahrhundert festhalten? Die massiven Auswirkungen des Klimawandels sind auch hier nicht mehr zu leugnen. Und dennoch soll weiterhin Beton, Stahl und Asphalt in unglaublichem Ausmaß verbaut werden und es wird eine klimafeindliche Infrastruktur auf Jahrzehnte festgelegt, obwohl wir so dringend eine Verkehrswende hin zu öffentlicher Mobilität und Radverkehr brauchen. Die letzten Naturräume und Naherholungsgebiete vor Erdings Haustür werden zerstört, zudem wertvolle Ackerböden versiegelt die für unsere Nahrungsmittelproduktion benötigt werden. 35-40 ha sollen durch die Nordumfahrung zerstört werden“.
Mehr Straßen fördern den Autoverkehr” – diese alte Erkenntnis gilt weiterhin, bestätigt Vilmar Eggerstorfer vom VCD Kreisverband Erding. “Die bestehenden Herausforderungen im Straßenverkehr bekommt man nicht mehr mit den alten Maßnahmen in den Griff, da andere Probleme immer stärker in den Vordergrund treten wie Zersiedelung und Flächenverbrauch, gesundheits- und klimaschädliche Emissionen und hohe Kosten für die Gesellschaft. Erding und das Land brauchen ein innovatives Mobilitätskonzept statt monströser Straße und eine dritte Startbahn, weil sie den veränderten Rahmenbedingungen im Landkreis nicht gerecht werden“.
Julika Schreiber, BN Regionalreferentin Oberbayern konstatiert: “Um die Daseinsvorsorge und die Teilhabe an der Gesellschaft zu gewährleisten, brauchen wir ein umfassendes und gut ausgebautes öffentliches Verkehrsnetz. Es müssen auch Personen wie Rentner*innen, Asylbewerber*innen und Azubis, die selbst kein Auto fahren, von A nach B kommen. Die Betriebe beschweren sich darüber, dass sie keine Azubis bekommen, weil dort kein Bus hinfährt. Die Auswirkungen auf die Gesellschaft sind dramatisch“.
Uschi Schmidt-Hoensdorf, LBV Kreisvorsitzende und Norbert Hufschmid, BN-Vorstandsmitglied der KG Erding sind sich einig: “Wenn wir die Verkehrswende schaffen wollen, braucht es massive Investitionen in den ÖPNV anstatt das Straßennetz weiter auszubauen. Nur so kann ein ausreichendes Angebot auch im ländlichen Bereich attraktiv sein und genügend Busfahrer*innen bezahlt werden. Gerade im ländlichen Raum ist es wesentlich, den ÖPNV auszubauen, damit der eigene PKW nicht die einzige Alternative für Transport ist“.
Hintergrund Seit über zwanzig Jahren wird an der Nordumfahrung von Erding (ED99) geplant, um die vermeintlich großen Verkehrsströme vom und zum Flughafen München um den Ort herumzuleiten. Doch diese Prognosen gingen vom Bau einer dritten Startbahn aus, die politisch längst begraben ist. Die Planung sieht eine 9,5 Kilometer lange Ost-West-Verbindung zwischen der Bundesstraße B 388 und der Flughafentangente Ost vor. Das Planfeststellungsverfahren läuft seit neun Jahren, die letzte Erörterung fand vergangenen Winter statt. Nach der obsoleten Verkehrsprognose in Sachen Flughafen begründet die Stadt die Umfahrung jetzt mit der Anbindung des neuen Stadtteils Fliegerhorst. Für den BN und das Bündnis ist das angesichts von Klimakrise und Flächenfraß aus der Zeit gefallen. Sie forderten Mitte Mai erneut, den öffentlichen Nahverkehr und das Radwegenetz auszubauen, anstatt mit großem finanziellen Aufwand Tonnen an Asphalt, Stahl und Beton zu verbauen und so eine klimafeindliche Infrastruktur auf Jahrzehnte zu zementieren. Der Bau der Umfahrung ginge mit großer Naturzerstörung einher und würde Flächen von 35 bis 40 Hektar versiegeln. Dazu laufen die Kosten aus dem Ruder: An die 100 Millionen Euro soll das “Grün-kaputt-Projekt” inzwischen kosten. Davon müsste die Stadt Erding 30 bis 40 Millionen finanzieren. Das Bündnis fordert nun, das Kosten-Nutzen-Verhältnis zu überprüfen, wie es der Bundesrechnungshof bereits bei den Planungen für die Bundesstraßen B 26n und B 10 verlangt hat. Erst kürzlich kündigte das FDP-geführte Bundesverkehrsministerium Kürzungen des Autobahnbudgets aus Kostengründen an.
Die Markierung von Fahrradschutzstreifen in der Erdinger Straße und Gute Änger hat in den Print- und Sozialen Medien hohe Wellen geschlagen. Damit insbesondere die Nutzer:innen der Fahrradschutzstreifen ihre Unterstützung dafür manifestieren können, ruft der Radentscheid Freising zu einer Radldemo am 21. September 2024 auf.
Nach langen Diskussionen im Stadtrat und am Runden Radltisch wurden im Juni 2024 in der Erdinger Straße und Gute Änger Fahrradschutzstreifen – zunächst als Verkehrsversuch für ein Jahr – markiert. Diese Maßnahmen sind Gegenstand des zwischen der Initiative Radentscheid Freising und der Stadt Freising geschlossenen Vertrags über konkrete Maßnahmen zur Förderung des Fahrradverkehrs. Alle Maßnahmen basieren auch auf dem Mobilitätskonzept der Stadt Freising von 2019. In den Print- und den Sozialen Medien haben sich nach der Umsetzung viele skeptische Stimmen artikuliert. Dabei haben sich vor allem auch anliegende Geschäftsinhaber zu Wort gemeldet.
Es gab in den vergangenen Jahren entsprechende Planungen bei der Stadtverwaltung, wo unter anderem beim “Runden Radltisch” die Ziele und ein Radverkehrsnetz eingehend besprochen wurden. Der VCD spricht sich dafür aus, insbesondere durchgängige Routen für den Radverkehr in der Stadt Freising zu schaffen. So unter anderem Verbindungen wie Steinpark – Altstadt, Lerchenfeld-Ost – Isarsteg-Nord – Luitpoldanlage/Parkstraße – Tuching, oder Parkstraße – Schießstattstraße – P+R-Platz – Seilerbrückl – Schlüter. Wichtig sind auch die Schaffung von durchgängigen Verbindungen zu den Ortsteilen nach Tüntenhausen/Erlau, Sünzhausen, Hohenbachern und Haindlfing.
Von Seiten des Initiativkreises Radentscheid Freising – mit getragen von den Freisinger Kreisverbänden des Verkehrsclub Deutschland (VCD) und des Allgemeinen Deutschen Fahrrad-Clubs (ADFC) – sollen bei einer Fahrraddemo am 21. September 2024 nun auch die Nutzer:innen der Fahrradschutzstreifen Gelegenheit erhalten, ihre Unterstützung zu artikulieren.
Die Fahrradschutzstreifen kommen zuallererst den Radfahrer:innen in der Erdinger Straße zugute. Hierzu Emilia Kirner, eine der Sprecher:innen des Radentscheid Freising: “Die Erdinger Straße stellt laut Mobilitätskonzept 2019 den zentralen Teil einer Nord-Süd-Radroute im Radverkehrs-Hauptnetz dar zur Verbindung des Stadtteils Lerchenfeld sowie des Ortsteils Attaching mit der Freisinger Innenstadt. Dementsprechend war die fahrradfreundlichere Umgestaltung auch Bestandteil des Vertrags zwischen der Stadt Freising und dem Radentscheid Freising im Jahr 2022“.
Andreas Kagermeier, Vorstandsmitglied für Radverkehrspolitik im ADFC Kreisverband Freising: “Über die Zählstelle an der Korbinianbrücke kommen im gesamten Jahresdurchschnitt pro Tag etwa 4.000 – an Spitzentagen mehr als 6.000 – Radfahrer:innen, von denen zwei Drittel – also im Jahresdurchschnitt gut 2.500 bzw. an Spitzentagen bis zu 4.000 – in die Erdinger Straße weiterfahren bzw. aus dieser kommen. Dies unterstreicht die herausragende Bedeutung der Erdinger Straße für Radfahrer:innen aus Lerchenfeld“.
Ulrich Vogl vom VCD Freising führt ergänzend aus: “Auch für die jeden Schultag ca. 150 fahrradfahrenden Schüler:innen der Realschule und der Montessori-Schule in der Guten Änger hat sich die Verkehrssicherheit durch die Fahrradschutzstreifen verbessert“. Er weist auch darauf hin: “Vorteile der Fahrradschutzstreifen ergeben sich auch für die Nutzer:innen der Busse in der Erdinger Straße, deren Fahrt inzwischen flüssiger verläuft, da die Busse nicht mehr von parkenden Autos ausgebremst werden. Durch die Erdinger Straße fahren täglich ca. 4.000 Fahrgäste der Stadtbuslinien 622, 623, 624 und 634 sowie der Regionalbuslinie 511 nach Erding. Auch diese profitieren von dem besser fließenden Verkehr in der Erdinger Straße“.
Unter dem Motto “Miteinander – aber sicher!” soll den in der medialen Diskussion teilweise vermittelten Eindrücken eines Gegeneinanders und einer Konfrontation divergierender Interessen bei der Demonstration ein positives Leitbild für ein lebenswertes Freising gegenüber gestellt werden. Jürgen Maguhn von VCD Kreisvorstand betont, dass “demzufolge auch Sprecher:innen der Stadtratsfraktionen in die Kundgebung vor dem Start des Demonstrationszuges mit eingebunden werden sollen“.
Die Demonstration startet am Samstag, den 21. September 2024 um 14 Uhr mit einer Kundgebung in der Erdinger Straße (bei der St. Lantpert-Kirche, Grüner Hof). Im Anschluss bewegt sich der Radl-Demonstrationszug entlang der Erdinger Straße Richtung Gute Änger, vorbei an den dortigen Schulen. Über den Südring geht es weiter zur Katharina-Mair-Straße, die Jagdstraße und die Kepserstraße – in denen in den nächsten Jahren noch Verbesserungen der Radfahrmöglichkeiten anstehen – zurück zum Ausgangspunkt in der Erdinger Straße.
Die Veranstalter sind sich sicher, dass der Aufruf zur Fahrraddemo auf breite Resonanz – nicht nur bei den Lerchenfeldern – stoßen und ein eindrucksvolles Bild für ein fahrradfreundliches Freising abgeben wird.
Andreas Kagermeier hat in den 80er Jahren in Erlangen Geographie mit den Schwerpunkten Stadt- und Verkehrsgeographie studiert. Vor der Gründung des VCDs war er im Arbeitskreis „Stadtentwicklung und Verkehr“ des BUND Naturschutzes aktiv.
VCD-Mitglied seit 1986 hat er sich mit am Aufbau der Ortsgruppe Erlangen betätigt.
Nach dem Umzug nach Freising bringt er sich seit den 90er Jahren im VCD Kreisverband Freising-Erding-Dachau ein.
Neben dem lokalen Engagement als VCD-Vertreter beim Radentscheid Freising und dem sog. Runden Radltisch Freising zur Dynamisierung und Verstetigung einer fahrradfreundlichen Gestaltung und Anerkennung des Fahrrades tätig. Seit 2021 auch Beisitzer im VCD Landesvorstand Bayern. 2022 und 2023 als VCD-Vertreter stellvertretender Beauftragter beim bayernweiten Bündnis Radentscheid Bayern.
Dass das Fahrrad als gleichberechtigtes Verkehrsmittel beim verkehrspolitischen und verkehrsplanerischen Handeln selbstverständlich berücksichtigt wird, ist sein Ziel. Dazu gehören der Fokus auf die Vision Zero (Ziel Null Verkehrstote) und die Förderung fehlerverzeihender Radinfrastruktur.
Daneben spielt – mit einem Fokus auf die Metropolregion München sowie den ländlichen Raum in Bayern – die Optimierung des SPNV-Angebotes und die Weiterentwicklung des Busverkehr zu einem Qualitäts-ÖPNV (insbesondere hinsichtlich Takt, Bedienzeiten und Netzgestaltung) eine Rolle.
Die Ausrichtung auf den Freizeitverkehr schlägt sich unter anderem in der Beteiligung an den sog. Tourismustagungen des VCD Bayern nieder.
Auch im Laufe seiner beruflichen Tätigkeit als Geograph hat er sich mit unterschiedlichen Fragestellungen zur Gestaltung des Fahrradverkehrs, des ÖPNVs im ländlichen Raum sowie dem Zusammenhang zwischen der siedlungsstrukturellen Entwicklung und dem Verkehrsgeschehen sowie dem Mobilitätsmanagement beschäftigt.
Nach Stationen in Passau, München, Bayreuth und Paderborn war er von 2006 bis 2023 an der Universität Trier in der Facheinheit Humangeographische Raumanalyse als Professor für Freizeit- und Tourismusgeographie tätig. Dabei standen in Forschung und Lehre Ansätze zu einer nachhaltigeren Gestaltung des Freizeit- und Urlaubsverkehrs ebenfalls im Blickwinkel – auch in Hinsicht auf die Klimakrise und die Rolle des Flugverkehrs. Hier sind die gesetzgebenden Institutionen auf allen Ebenen gefordert, den Klimawandel zügig voran zu bringen.
